Still no snow plows down our streets and we are on day 4 since the big snow :( UPS is promising delivery for tomorrow...again. We'll see. Fortunately, with the Internet and my collection of educational material, we were able to get a lot of learning done today.
Math--Discussed Income Tax, Gross and Net Pay, Federal, State and Social Security deductions. Evan has decided that he is NOT going to allow the government to deduct from his pay check....EVER. Also did some review of basic math skills.
History--Discussed and read about the Constitution, Election of George Washington, the war between England and France and the USA's decision for neutrality, the conflict between the Native Americans and the American pioneers. And more. Evan was very interested in these topics so we have decided to continue this lesson tomorrow and do some more detailed research.
Reading--Evan began another reading book. He has decided to stick with Gary Paulson and read another of Brian's adventures called, "Brian's Return".
Tech--Evan used some of his Christmas money to purchase some NERF guns. As soon as we got home, he decided to take one of the guns apart and, "modify" it. Now, it shoots faster and further! My little Engineer :)
