The school books haven’t arrived so Evan and I spent the day Downtown Chattanooga J
We started out at the Mellow Mushroom for lunch. Fortunately, Doug was able to meet us. After that we headed to the Downtown branch of the library to do some exploring. We then took a shuttle bus to the IMAX and saw the documentary, The Ultimate Wave Tahiti 3D. The 3D effects of the ocean creatures were, of course, amazing. The film also gave a great explanation of how the islands were formed and also what actually causes the waves. It was pretty cool. Tonight we plan to finish a book we’ve been reading as a family called, Follow the River. It has been WONDERFUL. If interested, the author is James Alexander Thom. He is a Hoosier, born in Bloomington, who writes historical fiction, mostly as it pertains to Indian’s and also some on the Lewis and Clark expedition. It is a really great book. Next week, we will begin the, “Little Britches” series of books by, Ralph Moody.
We’re both pretty excited for the School Books to arrive and really get going.
